the time on = time off thing has only grew up since the advent of the internet to be perfectly honest, and has no factual basis. I hate the way it is banded about with certainty all over discussion boards.
I have tried all sorts of different things, long on/short off, short on/long off, staying on for extended periods, staying off, coming off with PCT/without PCT.
No one method is better than the rest to be totally frank, and I am contemplating a more dynamic approach these days - stay on until it feels like I CBA, take a break until motivation returns - however long these 2 time periods may be.
Think about it. Every time we start a new cycle, the gains gather momentum, but inevitably the grind to a halt for whatever reason - no one grows continuously. Surely it makes more sense to come off then, and dodge along - maybe with slightly reduced training intensity, then when fire returns, crank it up again - dynamically adjust your usage to what is happening on the ground.
Just my 2cents - but I know there is no point me styaing on for a rigid 12 weeks, just because that was the plan, when gains stop at 8weeks - I'd rather get off, recover a bit - not neccesarily run a full PCT because the more I read the more I dont see the point unless intending to stay of for an extended period - maybe jsut a little hcg to keep things idling along... just thinking out loud really.
